Rank: Sergeant

Job served in Colonel Greene’s Regiment and Colonel Olney’s Regiment, and took part in the defense of Forts Mifflin and Mercer during the harsh winter at Valley Forge. He fought in the Battle of Monmouth Courthouse and the Siege of Yorktown. Job also served in Captain William Allen’s Company and Colonel Israel Angell’s Regiment. Notably, he was a Sergeant of the guard on duty at the execution of Major André and was present at the surrender of Cornwallis. For his distinguished service, he received two badges of honor under General Washington.
