Help Us Tell Their Story

Friends of Woodland Cemetery is creating tribute pages for veterans laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery. These online biographies will help preserve the memory of our local heroes and allow future generations to learn their stories.

We invite family and friends to submit information about their loved ones who served.

Each tribute page can include:

  • A short biography (life history, family, achievements, etc.)
  • Military service details (branch, rank, unit, war/conflict, years of service, medals, etc.)
  • Up to 5 photos (formal portraits, service photos, or family snapshots)
  • Any personal memories you’d like to share

How to Submit:

Email

Send digital photos and a Word document (or plain text) with your submission to:
friends@woodlandcemeterydelhi.org

Mail

Send printed bios and photocopies (no originals, please) of photos to:

Friends of Woodland Cemetery
6 Cross Street
Delhi, NY 13753

If you’re unsure what to include, just reach out — we’re happy to help guide you.

Let’s make sure our veterans are remembered not just by their names on a stone, but by the lives they lived and the sacrifices they made.

Thank you for helping us honor their legacy.

I Want to Help Friends Help Woodland

Keeping Woodland Cemetery in good condition requires community support. Friends of Woodland was established in 2024 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our mission is to raise funds and provide strategic support to the Woodland Cemetery Association. Your donations help maintain the grounds, provide capital improvements, and ensure the cemetery remains open for future burials.
